National Ding-A-Ling Day - December Holiday Coffee Klatch
National Ding-A-Ling Day is one of those uniquely American inventions. It’s sort of a two-fer holiday where you touch base (preferably by phone — hence the playful reference to “ding-a-ling”) with friends or family you may have lost track of during the year. You also get a free pass to be just a little bit weird for the day. National Ding-A-Ling Day always takes place on December 12, but you can think of it as a second Halloween!

National Absurdity Day - November Holiday Coffee Klatch
Occurring at the cusp of winter, National Absurdity Day, November 20, is a fantastic way to liven up a dreary day. What started as a philosophical movement called absurdism has bloomed into this marked calendar event, during which anyone is allowed to follow their most preposterous whims. It’s a time to exchange social customs and dull norms for playful and untethered behaviors, expressions, and ideas. Dye your eyebrows pink, juggle eggs in the city park or lead a meeting while standing on your hands. There’s no limit to the wackiness of this holiday!

Curious Events Day - October Holiday Coffee Klatch
Curious Events Day is October 9 and it’s the day to wonder about everything we’ve ever wondered about. How do they get those clipper ships inside the bottles? Who figured out how to tie shoelaces? What’s the most recent sighting of Bigfoot in North America? Why can’t we find out what happened at Roswell? Be inquisitive. Be persistent. And be careful, don’t forget that adage — curiosity killed the cat.
September Coffee Klatch - “Ask a Stupid Question Day”
On National Ask a Stupid Question Day, September 28 — or, if that day falls on a weekend, the last school day of September — there really is no such thing as a dumb question.
At some point during the 1980s — the researchable resources in terms of exact details are scant — American school teachers recognized that some of the questions their shyer students were holding back would make for fruitful classroom discussions, should those questions be asked out loud. On National Ask a Stupid Question Day, teachers have the perfect excuse to tap into the inquisitiveness of their students.

National Just Because Day - August Holiday Coffee Klatch
On August 27, you won’t need a reason to celebrate. All you need is National Just Because Day. Why? Well, just because. If you want to make spaghetti for breakfast wearing last year’s Halloween costume, more power to you. If you want to climb a tree as an adult, take the risk. It’s a day to stop worrying about the whys. Just Because Day has also become a great way to spread random acts of kindness. Send a thoughtful card to a friend, just because. Give your grandparents a call, just because. Pick up the trash from your neighbor’s yard, just because. National Just Because Day is on August 27. Why this date? Well, you know … just, because.
National SCUD Day - Holiday Coffee Klatch
National SCUD Day is celebrated every year on July 8 and is also popularly known as National Savor the Comic, Unplug the Drama Day. The aim of the day is to encourage people of all ages and interests to set aside all the drama they have been experiencing in life and to simply relax. Working hard is never the problem — it is the unnecessary drama and issues that we allow to enter into our lives that cause complications. This year on National SCUD Day, make a vow to focus on the positive, and distance yourself from the negativities that may surround you.
Love Conquers All Day - Holiday Coffee Klatch
Love Conquers All Day is celebrated on June 3 every year as a day to cherish our loved ones. No matter how tough life gets, the sailing becomes smoother with our loved ones at our side. It is a day to express gratitude and love to those who matter and recognize love as an emotion that makes the world go around. A day of joy and warmth, you can celebrate it with your friends, family, partners, pets, or anyone whom you love and cherish!
National Honor Our LGBT Elders Day - May Holiday Coffee Klatch
National Honor Our LGBT Elders Day is a holiday that recognizes the pioneer’s community who blazed a trail for social acceptance and equality in society for LGBTQ individuals today. This day is observed on the 16th of May each year and was first celebrated in 2015. Since then, this holiday has grown from a small grassroots holiday into a holiday that’s celebrated all over the world. It’s a day on which people can take the time to thank everyone who has dedicated their life, and sometimes freedom for the advancement of LGBTQ rights in the U.S and around the world.
Earth Day - April Holiday Coffee Klatch
For the past 50 years, Earth Day has been celebrated by billions of people around the globe, annually every April 22, to join together in promoting awareness for the health of our environment. Why should we continue to celebrate this holiday? Some people may view it as just another holiday, or an excuse to wear green and a flower crown, similar to St. Patrick’s Day, but with serious concerns about our changing environment being studied and addressed today by prominent scientists, politicians, and young climate change activists alike, some people are adapting to more environmentally friendly ways of living — every day, not just on April 22 every year. Cue the composting, recycling, repurposing, carpooling, thrifting, and metal straws to save the turtles.
Extraterrestrial Abductions Day - March Holiday Coffee Klatch
Keep one eye on the sky. And be ready to duck, dodge, and to hide. UFO's may be everywhere, looking to abduct humans. If you are not careful, perhaps they will find you! Of course, there are more than a few people out there who are looking to be abducted by aliens, so they can travel to another planet. Celebrate today by reading and watching science fiction stories about UFOs and Extraterrestrials. And make sure to keep out of sight of extraterrestrials.
